Botanical name:Buxus japonica

Japanese Boxwood is often used as a hedge. It is compact, with small bright green leaves. It can reach 4-6' tall and wide or be kept smaller through pruninig. It can be sheared to shape. It does better in areas with milder winters.

With its dark green foliage and fragrant flowers of a full, semi-double, yellow color, this upright shrub is generally grown as a vine or pillar rose. As it ages, the color changes to creamy white.

Trailing Lantana

Botanical name:Lantana montevidensis

Lavender flowers accent the trailing growth habit of this lantana. It is excellent for spilling over walls or down banks. Eventually will reach about 2' tall by 6' wide, size controlled by pruning and severity of winter. Full sun, drought tolerant. It is a native of South America. A rapid grower. Tolerates heat, smog and poor soil. Cold hardy to mid 20s degrees F, but quick recovery if frost-bitten. Fruit poisonous. Very attractive to butterflies.
